"Truly, you are a God who hides Himself."

Isaiah wrote those words, and he was not complaining. He was noticing something true about the way God works. Some of the most important things God has ever done, He did quietly. A seed grows underground where no one watches. A child grows in the dark of the womb. And a soul often grows most in the seasons when heaven feels quietest.

If God feels hidden from you right now, it does not mean He is absent. It may mean He is doing something He does not want to rush.

"Father, I confess that the silence frightens me. But if You are working in the quiet, then teach me to wait without losing heart. I am still here. I am still listening. Amen." Today's practice: sit in silence for three minutes after this prayer. Do not fill it. Just stay.
